SyncFiction

PocketBook Email Setup

Deliver EPUBs to your PocketBook via PocketBook Cloud’s Send‑to‑PocketBook feature.

Requirements

  • A PocketBook device or app linked to a PocketBook Cloud account
  • Wi‑Fi enabled on the device for receiving pushed documents
  • Your device’s unique Send‑to‑PocketBook email address
  • Approved sender: add [email protected] to the allowed senders list

Overview

  1. Link your device to PocketBook Cloud
  2. Find your device’s Send‑to‑PocketBook email address
  3. Approve SyncFiction’s sender address [email protected]
  4. Add the PocketBook address in SyncFiction (Provider → Email)
  5. Send a test fiction and sync your device
1

Connect PocketBook Cloud on Your Device

On your PocketBook device:

  • Open Settings → Accounts and Synchronization → PocketBook Cloud
  • Sign in or create a PocketBook Cloud account
  • Confirm the device shows as connected (cloud icon/confirmation)

Why this matters

Send‑to‑PocketBook pushes documents through PocketBook Cloud. Your device must be linked to receive emails as documents.

2

Find Your Send‑to‑PocketBook Email Address

You have a unique email address for delivering documents to your device/app.

  • Check the Send‑to‑PocketBook section in device settings or your PocketBook Cloud account page
  • Note the address (format varies per account); copy it for later

EPUB is supported

SyncFiction generates EPUB files, which PocketBook supports natively.

3

Approve SyncFiction as a Sender

PocketBook Cloud only accepts documents from allowed senders:

  1. Open your PocketBook Cloud account settings (Send‑to‑PocketBook / Allowed senders)
  2. Add [email protected] to the list
  3. Save changes

Don’t skip this

If the sender is not approved, the email is rejected and the EPUB will not arrive on your device.

4

Connect Your PocketBook Address in SyncFiction

  • Go to Provider → Connect Email
  • Enter your Send‑to‑PocketBook email address
  • Save

Multiple devices

Each device/app may have its own address. Use the one you want to receive EPUBs on.

5

Send a Fiction (Test)

  1. Open Provider → Email in SyncFiction
  2. Click “Send” next to a fiction
  3. Ensure your PocketBook is online; within a few minutes the document should appear

What you’ll receive

From: [email protected]
Subject: Your Fiction: <Title>
Attachment: <Title>.epub

Troubleshooting

  • Allowed sender missing: confirm [email protected] is in your allowed senders
  • Device not linked: verify PocketBook Cloud is signed in on the device
  • Wi‑Fi off: enable Wi‑Fi so the device can receive pushes
  • Attachment too large: very large EPUBs may be rejected; try a shorter fiction
  • Wrong address: double‑check the exact Send‑to‑PocketBook address
  • Manual refresh: open the PocketBook Cloud app or refresh your library to trigger sync

Kindle Email Setup

Set up SyncFiction to email EPUBs directly to your Kindle using Amazon’s Send-to-Kindle feature.

Important Requirements

  • Kindle only accepts documents sent from addresses in your Amazon “Approved Personal Document E-mail List”.
  • You must add SyncFiction’s sender address to your approved list before delivery will work: [email protected].
  • Your EPUB must be generated first (SyncFiction creates it automatically after you add a fiction).

Overview

  1. Find your Kindle “Send-to-Kindle” email address
  2. Add SyncFiction’s sender address to your Approved Senders
  3. Connect your Kindle address in Provider → Email
  4. Send a fiction to test delivery
1

Find Your Kindle Address

Locate the email address that delivers documents to your Kindle devices/apps:

  • Go to Amazon → Your Content and Devices → Preferences
  • Open “Personal Document Settings”
  • Note the “Send-to-Kindle E-mail” for your device/app (e.g. [email protected])

Multiple Devices

Each Kindle device/app has its own address. Use the one you want to receive the EPUB on.

2

Approve SyncFiction as a Sender

Kindle will only accept documents from approved senders:

  1. In the same “Personal Document Settings” page, find “Approved Personal Document E-mail List”
  2. Click “Add a new approved e-mail address”

Don’t Skip This

If the sender address isn’t approved, Kindle silently rejects the email and your EPUB won’t arrive.

Which address to approve?

Use exactly [email protected]. This is SyncFiction’s From address for EPUB delivery.

3

Connect Your Kindle Email in SyncFiction

Add your Kindle address to SyncFiction:

  1. Open Provider → Connect Email
  2. Enter your Kindle “Send-to-Kindle” address (e.g. [email protected])
  3. Save

All Set

SyncFiction will use this address when you choose to send a fiction via email.

4

Send a Fiction (Test)

Send an EPUB to confirm delivery:

  1. Go to Provider → Email
  2. In your Email provider card, click “Send” next to a fiction
  3. Check your Kindle device/app after a few minutes

What You’ll Receive

From: [email protected]
Subject: Your Fiction: <Title>
Attachment: <Title>.epub

Troubleshooting

  • Approved sender missing: Confirm the SyncFiction From address is in your Amazon Approved List
  • EPUB not ready: If you just added a fiction, wait for EPUB generation to finish
  • Attachment limits: Kindle typically accepts attachments up to ~50MB; very large fictions may exceed limits
  • Wrong Kindle address: Double‑check you used the correct device/app’s “Send‑to‑Kindle” address
  • Spam filtering: If you tested with a non‑Kindle email, check spam/junk
