Connect a Provider
Choose a delivery method that fits your device:
- •PocketBook: Use Dropbox integration or Send‑to‑PocketBook via Email
- •Kindle: Use Email (Send‑to‑Kindle with approved sender)

Add Fictions by ID or URL
Find the Royal Road fiction and paste its full URL (or copy the numeric ID from the URL). Add it in your Library. We fetch metadata and chapters automatically. The Add field accepts either.
First-time processing
Large fictions may take a few minutes to scrape and generate. Subsequent updates are much faster.
Automatic Updates
We check for new chapters daily, regenerate EPUBs, and deliver via your connected providers. In your Library, look for badges indicating EPUB readiness and any pending chapters.
How SyncFiction Works
- •Royal Road Sync — fetches metadata and chapters
- •EPUB Generation — formats content, images, and metadata
- •Delivery — uploads to Dropbox or sends via Email depending on your setup
Non-blocking pipeline
Each step is queued and resilient; failures retry and you can re-trigger delivery from your Provider page.
Plans & Limits
How tiers are assigned
Tiers are assigned manually by the administrator. There is no in‑app purchase or subscription flow.
The app supports two tiers with different usage limits:
- •Free: 1 fiction in Library; 1 manual email send/day; standard job priority
- •Premium: 5 fictions; 20 manual email sends/day; higher job priority
Library Limits
Your Library capacity depends on your tier. When you reach the limit, the Add button disables and a warning appears. Remove an item to free space or contact support about upgrading your tier.
Email Sending Limits
Manual "Send to Email" actions from the Provider page are limited per day by tier (resets at 23:59:59 UTC):
- •Free: 1/day
- •Premium: 20/day
Additionally, short bursts are rate‑limited per minute to keep the service snappy for everyone. If you hit a limit, try again in a minute or the next day.
Automatic delivery
Automatic daily delivery jobs are not affected by the manual email quota.
Queue Priority
Background jobs are prioritized by tier so premium users typically see faster processing and delivery during busy periods.
Library Status
Your Library shows quick status badges for each fiction:
- •EPUB ready: A green badge appears when the EPUB file has been generated and uploaded.
- •EPUB pending: A gray badge indicates EPUB generation is still in progress.
- •Pending chapters: A yellow badge shows how many chapters still need processing (new or unsynced).
- •Updated: The last time your subscription was updated is shown on the card.
These update automatically after background jobs complete. If you’ve just added a fiction, give it a moment on long works; refresh the page to see the latest status.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- •EPUB missing? Ensure initial generation completed on the Library page before delivery
- •Email delivery: Approved sender is required (
[email protected]
) and attachment size must be reasonable - •PocketBook: Device must be linked to PocketBook Cloud (for Email) or logged into Dropbox app (for Dropbox)
- •Connectivity: Keep Wi‑Fi enabled on the device during sync; manual refresh can help
